Welcome to KI!

The Keplinger Institute is a professional massage development school dedicated to teaching licensed massage therapists how to transform and upgrade their massage skills and business understanding to create long-term success for themselves and their careers within their communities. We do this by offering customized, specific, and functional continuing education classes accredited by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (www.ncbtmb.org) designed to not only teach you new techniques but also how to integrate them into your current practice.

Founder & Lead Educator, Keplinger Institute

Lisa Keplinger is a nationally board-certified and Indiana licensed massage therapist, educator, and entrepreneur with over two decades of experience. After a successful career as a Conde-Nast recognized resort spa consultant, director, and corporate trainer, she founded That’s the Rub Massage Therapy Center in Bloomington, Indiana in 2009.

Lisa developed The Keplinger Process, a results-driven approach to bodywork that blends a variety of therapeutic techniques. Her work is informed by decades of hands-on experience and continued study in advanced manual therapies and movement practices.

Lisa is the founder and lead educator of the Keplinger Institute, where she teaches continuing education courses to massage therapists across the country. Her commitment to high-quality, hands-on education is rooted in years of teaching and mentoring, including launching the massage therapy program at Ivy Tech Community College in 2017 and supporting students through externships and Massage Bootcamps. Lisa also facilitates Wellness Through Art, a creative wellness experience focused on self-discovery and emotional well-being.

Lisa is passionate about elevating the massage therapy profession and equipping practitioners with the tools they need to thrive—both in practice and in life.
