Keystone Principles of The Back

  • The Keplinger Institute of Massage and Wellness 205 N. College Ave, Suite 150 Bloomington, Indiana, 47404 USA (map)

This 12-hour continuing education course is designed for licensed massage therapists who want to master advanced back treatment techniques and create long-lasting relief for their clients. You’ll dive into the full anatomy of the back—from superficial muscles to deeper stabilizing structures—while learning how to address common issues like chronic upper back tension, postural imbalances, low back pain, and restricted mobility.

Through hands-on instruction, you’ll develop proficiency in Myofascial Release, Deep Tissue Massage, Swedish Massage, and Facilitated Stretching to support the spine, ribs, and surrounding musculature. Learn how to create personalized massage treatment plans for back pain, improve client posture, and increase functional movement through precise, therapeutic work.

Whether you're treating clients with tech neck, desk-related pain, or sports-related back strain, this class will equip you with the tools to think critically, apply techniques effectively, and deliver measurable client results.
